Getaway to the Île d’Yeu
Located 17 km off the Vendée coast, the Île d’Yeu is accessible only by the sea. On its 23 km², it offers a great diversity of landscapes, ranging from a rocky coast and its Breton landscapes to a dune coast, and can be walked or cycled.
You will discover small ports with character, prehistoric vestiges, and the old castle on a natural breathtaking site...
The embarkation is from the port of Saint-Gilles- Croix-de- Vie. Bike rental is available upon arrival at Port-Joinville. Excursions by tourist train, horse-drawn carriage or coach can also be booked in advance.

Day at Noirmoutier
The island of Noirmoutier is connected to the mainland by a bridge and by the Passage du Gois, a submersible road more than 4 km long, accessible only at low tide.
To borrow this mythical route is an unforgettable memory but requires a little preparation: it isnecessary to consult the schedules of the tides; the Passage du Gois can only be borrowed for 1h30 before and after low tide.
Noirmoutier, nicknamed the Island of Mimosas await you with its 40 km of beaches.
While traveling through the 49 km² of the island, you will discover its villages, its 9 th  century castle, salt marshes where the salt and the fleur de sel are still harvested by hand. The famous Bois de la Chaise where a hundred large seaside villas typical of Noirmoutier from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th are nesting.
When visiting Noirmoutier in family the Sealand Aquarium and the water park Océanile are also must-sees.
